Introduction
Hailing from the Washington DC area, Twist brings a unique perspective to the electronic scene. With a deep love of various types and genres of music, Twist has developed a style that sets him apart from the fold. As with most, his love for electronic music came about as an evolution of musical thought- with early musical influences running the gamut from James Brown, to Beastie Boys, to Parliament and Bob Marley, it should come as no surprise that his passion for electronic music is grounded in the raw and gritty sounds of breaks and house.

By early 2000 he was determined to refine his skills with the goal of moving the masses paramount in his mind. His first few mix compilations, "Dining Room Sessions I & II" and "Break-Thru" were soon passing from hand to hand and word of his abilities began to spread in the grass roots fashion that has become so synonymous with the scene. In early 2003 the releases of "Shaken Not Stirred" and "Universal Vibration" hit the EDM world by storm and a string of performances have followed across DC, MD, VA and PA to include Nation, The Edge, DC Tunnel, Insomnia, XM Satellite and Live 365 among many others. Over the last few years Twist has quickly started to develop a devoted and vocal following of fans. Late in 2002 his fan base proved pivotal to Twist's "Finalist" position at the Stellar productions Battle of the DJ's, again in 2003 at the ALIAS Shape the Future contest and finally the ALIAS Hot or Squat contest where he took home first place.

Now in 2004 Twist brings us his 6th full length release titled "Dedicated"- the latest 80 minute funky/nu skool breaks mix and announces his new crew affiliation with theMidnightsons. Come witness the true roots of funk at a club near you!
